THIS is THAT.

A year ago, I had a dream: a Christmas tree stood in the corner of a room, glowing with green and red lights. When I awoke from my dream, I knew the Lord was speaking. It was His promise—a sign that the house He had directed us to pursue would be ours.

In the natural, this promise seemed impossible. Circumstances made it appear unlikely. Yet, the dream reassured me that the Lord was working on our behalf. Then, just two days after Christmas, we received an offer on our house—an open door that allowed us to move forward with the home the Lord had chosen for us.

He does that if you let him. (1 Peter 5:7)

Last week, as I walked past our Christmas tree in His promised house to us, I was reminded of that dream. THIS is THAT, I thought. The Lord’s promise had come to pass. It didn’t happen on my timeline, but it happened in His. And His timing is always better. (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

You may still be waiting for some of your promises to be fulfilled—I am, too. But I pray you’ll have a moment, just you and the Lord, when you realize: THIS is THAT. This is That gift He gave you. This is That thing He restored. This is That issue He healed. This is That answer to prayer. This is That promise He brought to pass.

In this season of celebrating the ultimate gift—the birth of His Son—may you pause to reflect on all He has done for you—Because THIS is THAT.
