Recently, it feels as though a war has swept through the body of Christ—one fueled by political division. Hurtful words are spoken, written, and shared without thought of the damage they cause.

I came across a shocking post where a woman questioned if someone would be so blindly loyal to a political figure that they’d even be willing to harm their own children if asked to.

My first instinct was to respond, but in that moment, I felt the Holy Spirit gently remind me of this truth:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” – Ephesians 6:12

The enemy, not people, is the true source of division within the church. Harboring offense in our hearts only plays into his plan, and that is not what God desires for us.

A year ago, during prayer, God gave me a vision for a sweatshirt design with a powerful message: UniTy. The back carried a declaration: Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. At the time, I didn’t fully grasp its purpose, but I wrote it down. Now I realize it is for such a time as this.

Wearing this design publicly has become a powerful reminder—not just for me, but for anyone who sees it—that God’s children are called to unite under Christ, not be divided by the world. The bold design, with the “t” replaced by a cross, always draws attention.

One man at a coffee shop glanced at my sweatshirt, then back at me, and said with a curious expression, “Huh, nice sweatshirt,” as though the idea of unity in the body of Christ had never crossed his mind. Another woman lit up and exclaimed, “Oh my gosh, I love that sweatshirt! Where can I get one?”

Of course, not every reaction has been positive. One young woman shot me a look of disdain and quickly looked away. I couldn’t help but smile inwardly—because when demons despise a message, that’s all the more reason to keep wearing it boldly.
